SHOPRITE OF MEDFORD RETURNS AS THE PRESENTING SPONSOR OF THE MEDFORD CELEBRATES INDEPENDENCE DAY FIREWORKS Medford Celebrates Foundation, Inc. (MCF) announces that ShopRite of Medford has agreed to sponsor Medford’s 2024 Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks Display as the Presenting Sponsor. The event will be held at Medford’s Freedom Park on Wednesday, July 3rd, with a Saturday, July 6th rain date.“The proceeds from the Presenting Sponsor go directly toward purchasing the evening’s fireworks,” said Bob Egan, President of Medford Celebrates, the volunteer, non-profit organization that produces the event every year. “Medford has always had fantastic fireworks displays to celebrate our nation’s independence and we are grateful to ShopRite of Medford for again providing the funds to continue that tradition.”Murphy’s Fresh Markets will again serve as the Tailgate Area Sponsor and YMCA of the Pines as the Kid’s Zone sponsor. Other area businesses that have pledged sponsorships to date are Archer Law, Medford Fitness, Padden Cooper, Yale School, Columbia Bank, and Medford Mini-Storage. Each year, well over 10,000 regional residents come to Medford to attend Medford’s Independence Day Celebration, shop local businesses and enjoy the food and beverage offerings provided by food truck vendors in Freedom Park, and watch the grand fireworks display at dusk. MCF has raised money to fund the event since 2011, mainly by soliciting local and area businesses to provide sponsorships. In return for contributions, MCF offers an advertising and promotional package, publicizing sponsors in ads placed in local publications and on the MCF website, mentioning them on our social media pages, and on signage in Freedom Park at the event. Egan said that “the costs of presenting a free admission event of this size for thousands of South Jersey residents and visitors are substantial and extend well beyond the costs of the fireworks themselves. These costs are rapidly growing with inflation. We need additional sponsors, as well as contributions from our audiences, to be able to continue the tradition and keep the fireworks going.” Anyone interested in pursuing sponsorship investment opportunities can contact the Foundation through its website at www.medfordnjcelebrates.org/contact or by email at [email protected]. Anyone interested in making a donation can do so at the “Donate” page at the Foundation website at www.medfordnjcelebrates.org . Medford Celebrates Foundation, Inc. is an all-volunteer Section 501(c)(3) non-profit entity dedicated to securing funding needed to stage Medford Township’s major events and producing Medford’s Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks Display. ... Welcome to the Township
of Medford, New Jersey

Medford Township

This site offers everything you need to know about Medford; for residents, businesses, and visitors alike. To quickly navigate what's available here, please visit the Guide for using our Township Website.

Our Township is nestled between fertile farms and the Federal Pinelands Natural Reserve in Burlington County, New Jersey. Located 30 minutes from Philadelphia and 45 minutes from the Jersey shore, our Township serves as the hub of business and culture for this region. Unlike many communities, Medford has not lost its’ “soul” to the suburban sprawl which has consumed many of New Jersey’s towns.

Medford has a bustling Village area, where unique shops and restaurants line our original and historic “Main Street.” The residential areas in Medford have been created with respect for the woodlands, streams and lakes surrounding us. Homes of log cabins, Victorian estates and contemporary facades dot the landscape. Dedicated open space, private camps, bike paths and sidewalks allow for many recreational activities. With Medford’s border of a million acres of protected forest and over 50% of the township as dedicated open space and natural surroundings, we are assured of a quiet and healthy environment for the future.
